Today, the Primary Care Collaborative, a group created by SB 227 to promote primary care in Delaware, delivered its report to the General Assembly. The Delaware Healthcare Association (“DHA”) submitted comments included in the final report that agree with the goals of promoting primary care in Delaware, but strongly oppose one of the report’s recommendations – a “cap on hospital rates.”
DHA's commented that to address primary care needs in Delaware, the Collaborative should convene a stakeholder group that would together discuss solutions that could meet the needs of patients, providers, and payers and avoid the unintended and significant consequences that would be produced should the recommendations contained in the Collaborative report be implemented.
