Wayne Smith, president and CEO of the Delaware Healthcare Association, said in a statement that state hospitals plan for an increase in respiratory illnesses every year in the fall and winter seasons.
The Association recently released its 2022 report, showing Delaware hospitals contributed an estimated $978-million-dollars statewide during Fiscal Year 2020.

“Surprisingly to most people a hospital is the most violent workplace one can find themselves employed in,” Wayne A. Smith, President and CEO of Delaware Healthcare Association, said.
