Program Aims to Improve Patient Experience With More Effective Transfers

(DOVER, DE – March 14, 2019) Today, the Delaware Healthcare Association (DHA) announced the launch of its new Interagency Transfer Form Pilot Program that aims to improve the communication process during patient transfer between hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

Today, DHA President and CEO Wayne Smith sent a letter to Senator Bryan Townsend in support of his bill SB 25 to raise the tobacco sale age from 18 to 21.

DHA Submits Comments to Primary Care Collaborative Report

Today, the Primary Care Collaborative, a group created by SB 227 to promote primary care in Delaware, delivered its report to the General Assembly. DHA submitted comments included in the final report that agree with the goals of promoting primary care in Delaware, but strongly oppose one of the report’s recommendations – a “cap on hospital rates.”
